A lot of these parents can’t grasp that an actual top D1 prospect isn’t gonna be scoring 1 v 6 goals through the entire team…they’d be scoring before the slide can even touch them. So they see a good athlete run through multiple defenders and think it’s the peak of the sport

Never too early to campaign for end-of-season accolades! No worries; Robo has it locked in all positions.

Woodson parent here… I am glad Cam is finally getting talked about on here… he is woodson’s one man show and should be a lock for the patriot POTY.

He’s had 6 or more goals in 6/9 of their games this spring including 4 double digit point performances. I believe he’s sitting around 70 points through 9 games.

He’s an elite athlete and a D1 prospect for sure. I could see him making most D1 rosters, especially as a Dmid with his athleticism. He plans to play club ball at university of Florida next year.

How is a senior a D1 prospect? The challenge with good HS players at publics is finding a way to show they can match up at the next level. Different game when defending 20-23’year old players

This is why the really talented kids go to private schools and also play for highly visible Clubs.

This is accurate. Zero college coaches are going to watch a Woodson HS lacrosse game. They need to see a player perform against they type of competition they would likely face in college.

I thought Curran caps games at 19? Something trigger him?

final

3-3 towards end of 1st

11-6 at half

First team to score over 6 goals on Robinson.

Curran had his starters in until the last second, including yelling to have his starting attackman take a shot with 3 seconds left

#7 for Woodson is a beast and dominated every match up against all of the rams D. He was the toughest guy out there tonight. Looks like Robo’s low GA stat went up but so did their GF stat. Sloppy game but the rams made a statement IMO. Dominate the scoreboard. Poor defense on both sides and then the soft calls on both squads made this game ugly. At least more entertaining than watching a score of 1-0.

The glazing is crazy. Cam is a good player for a terrible program. In past years he’s scored 1-2 goals at best for the rams. He’s a lower d1/high d3 player. I think CNU would be a perfect fit for him. Future MCLA player?

I wanted to share this video for some perspective showing the final moments of Monday's Lewis and Annandale game. These are two of the weakest teams in the district. Most of the players never touched lacrosse stick before high school. Each team realistically only expects to be competitive in about 3 games all season. But they work hard and take pride in playing for their schools. There’s about a minute left in double OT of a hard-fought game on Annandale’s senior night. The winning goal is nothing to write home about, but what happened afterward certainly is. Please watch until the end and keep your eyes on #17 in white.

Cam was so good and is that good. He has 5 of his Blackwolf teammates on Robo. That kid is D1 talent every day. It’s a shame they don’t get their kids out there more in the recruiting process. BW kids getting shortchanged.

The difference in skill in the Patriot League between the top 3 teams and the rest of the league is really significant. It doesn’t feel like the gap is as big for any other sport…

Which ones your son?

One of them that will get pulled by the end of the first half.

Yeesh, hope he didn’t get pulled at the end of the first half in that one

McLean looked sloppy

is that the final? I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger margin.

Their offense couldn’t hit the side of a barn tonight

Battlefield will kill McLean if they play like that on Saturday.
