If they could sell them at a reasonable cost that would be nice too. Like I get greed, but this is next level. 500 for a nosebleed seat? And that seems like a steal since everything else is in the 1000s.

Bot "attack" doesn't mean the bots successfully purchased a significant # of tickets. They could have been spamming with random possible codes to try to get a hit, which would bog down the lobby, but the vast majority of random codes would not have been able to buy tickets.

They could have wiped out the capital one presale though - no pre-verification required there, just a cc #.

You didn't have to enter the presale code to get into the queue, only to leave the queue.

I tried this strategy for Elton John, but the prices really didn't drop, plus I wasn't super serious about it so I was merely just looking on SH, but tickets were still sky high even as the show was starting. Yeah I don't think she had Dynamic Pricing for the verified fan sale (also the consensus on Reddit). If that were on, ticket prices would have been significantly higher.

How do you know those are all bots and not just fans with extras?

And going in the other direction, how do we know it's not Ticketmaster themselves withholding tickets and upselling them disguised as resell tickets?

Nosebleeds before dynamic pricing were supposed to be $59. So, Dynamic pricing basically doubled the price with the fees.

The dynamic pricing was really evident in places like Philadelphia.

I was going for a less popular show, (Detroit) and the prices were so much lower than what my friends trying for the Philadelphia, NJ, or Pittsburgh shows were seeing.
