An MTSU employee today offered inappropriate and callous comments on social media concerning the horrific and tragic murder of Charlie Kirk. The comments by this employee, who worked in a position of trust directly with students, were inconsistent with our values and have undermined the university’s credibility and reputation with our students, faculty, staff and the community at large. This employee has been fired effective immediately. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Kirk family.

Don’t think so. I posted somewhere earlier that he or she was sniper trained level. 200 yards = 2 football fields. It was a clean hit without collateral damage.

What conservatives are slowly figuring out is that liberals own guns too. We just don’t mind being accountable for them. Unhinged psychopaths can be republican, democrat, or anywhere in between. Anyone can illegally acquire a gun in this country. But Rs have always thought they were relatively safe from gun violence because they think Ds don’t own guns. But we do. And when they unleash our own military on us, they need to remember that those “2A rights” apply to us as well.

To be clear, this isn’t a threat. I am not somewhere or someone under attack by this regime, and I have never even picked up a gun. Just an observation.

I’m curious to hear what Bill Maher says about Kirk’s murder. He’s perhaps the most vocal public figure who has consistently called out the danger of political tribalism and the inability for people with differing opinions to engage in civil discourse. Plus, he interviewed Kirk on his podcast.

The tribalism needs to stop. It is tearing apart our society.

The violence needs to stop. It is killing people and fueling division across our country.
