Why did the democrats spend so much money in this race? Is it because they have too much money? Or is there a chance to flip it there?


In the aftermath of his loss, Beto has continued to build a ground game in Texas. He says that it’s not as red as one might think, just has a disengaged electorate. Looks like they’re turning up to vote, so there is definitely a chance. There are also lots of competitive local races there, and that should also boost turnout.

It’s a longtime incumbent Republican running in a Republican state in a Presidential year. The Democrats barely ran a candidate against him last time. This was always going to a huge climb. It’s one of about half a dozen races that shouldn’t have even been in play. And some - probably not all, but some - of them are going to break our way. I hope this is one of them but expectations should be realistic.

Meanwhile, in North Carolina, Cunningham is up by 6.

It's not emotion. He's got Covid-19 and he's holding it at bay with medication. It's why he's refusing the Covid-19 testing. He knows and he doesn't want to be be tested. Like Trump, he's just hoping he can keep ahead of the diagnosis until he can get Barrett passed off to the full Senate.

It would serve them right to have him infect the Judiciary Committee and not have a vote because several of the over 70 year old members either get sick or have to quarantine.

He seems too emotional to stay in the Senate. Every time I've seen him lately he's either crying or his eyes are red rimmed.

Ossoff is in the race against Perdue. In the race for the Isaksen/Loeffler seat - I thought it went to a runoff no matter what. If Warnock gets over 50%, is it over?
