Stop your whining! Every damn year we hear this.

Unfortunately it’s the truth. I doubt BF would ever see regionals if they were in a competitive district.

What district would BF not do well in? They have beaten Madison the last 2 years both at Madison. They have played the following teams this year: Yorktown, Oakton, Langley, Madison, Robinson, Cosby and Paul VI out of district and region. They lost 2 1 goal games with some injuries impacting those games. What other teams do you want them to play? Region C is full of bad teams but Robinson gets a pass

This is just false. Not a BF fan, but it's a solid program, and this year's team has a real chance to take home the trophy. Beat Madison the last two times they played.

Battlefield has one of the strongest teams this year- no doubt! It is also true that they have the easiest path to the state championship this year unless Madison or Robinson lose in regions. They beat both those teams this year but I think a Battlefield game against either of those two teams would be close. I think Madison is the best team right now but Battlefield or Robinson vs Madison should be competitive games.

Except for Cosby, BF has the weakest region. Very wisely, they spend their season playing the best teams in the state in order to prep for States.

Great job Madison Girls Lax! This is your year. Make it happen. Just don’t choke when it matters.

YT has won 3 Class 6A state championships in the last 4 years. Has there been any other team that’s accomplished that recently? Langley had their run before YT. And Langley is another Liberty District team like YT. Enough said.

There is no such thing as classless scores against Yorktown. The attitude from player and parents over the past decade supports all scoring at all times. Ask any other HS in the state. People love to beat Madison too, but EVERYBODY loves to beat Yorktown!

It’s true. Yorktown lacked class for years under the previous coach. This coach will help change that culture but it’s hard to hear Yorktown complaining about class with the history of constantly complaining to the refs and playing dirty. This year I didn’t see any of that from this team but it’s hard to shake the history and reputation.

Championships aren’t for everyone.

Has your daughter's team ever beaten YT? My daughters' teams have beaten and lost to them and the old coach could definitely be annoying and whiny, but dirty play? That sounds like sour grapes.

Chantilly - Westfield really is a toss up. Either team could win and have a chance at a running clock vs. Madison.

You are obviously not a real YT parent. First, YT parents love the Erik. And second, she hasn’t been called Tran in a long time. Troll elsewhere.

YT parent here and I agree. The team and parent love the new coach. He had a legacy and big shoes to fill this year. He brought his own coaching style and energy and exactly what we need as a team.

I was a tough loss, but over all a good season. - especially as a rebuilding year. We have some talented juniors and underclassman and a great coaching staff. I have no doubt we will be back. In the mean time congrats to Madison on the win.

Classic Madison. Were they slamming their sticks on ground like Chloe after each score ?

Final score?

Madison 18 Yorktown 9
