No, they've been planning to kill off Big since the third movie scripts several years ago. They had to in order to open up space for a storyline that wasn't just about rich happily married women. The only thing I'm wondering about is the timing of the expose, which was conveniently after the premiere.

"According to a leaked script for Sex and the City 3, which was set to film in 2017 but was cancelled after Cattrall didn't sign on, Big was written to die in the third Sex and the City movie in the exact same way he passed in And Just Like That."

Ok so maybe he's a known letch and they were trying to extricate themselves. The alleged incidents happened a while ago. Do you think Kim C knew?

I wouldn’t be so sure. Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris North were close and they’ve been openly supportive of each other in the past.

There are always rumors about these things onset before they become public. While it’s possible some people didn’t know everything, SJP certainly knew. KC probably didn’t like the rumors abd her own bad experiences w/SJP probably means she was inclined to give it the benefit of the doubt. Either way, it would have been just one more reason to stay away from a toxic work environment. Good for her.

I mean, she was on the series for 6 season and did two movies. These allegations date back decades. But now, suddenly, she's taking a stand against Chris Noth? Give me a break.

Just because some people don’t grow, change or learn with time doesn’t mean that everyone else is similarly ossified.

It’s also pretty common to not speak out when you’re a young actress.

The imbalance of power is exactly why young actresses don’t want to risk speaking out—and it’s why predators like Chris North target them. Everyone he attacked was significantly younger than he was. KC drawing a line in the sand is consistent with this too. She’s successful enough to be able to say no to working with people like that without risking her career and livelihood.

Kim Catrall was in her 40s when the show started!

I know it makes a nice story to think that KC has some kind of moral high ground because all this came out after she very publicly refused to do the show. But, just not wanting to do it is plenty enough reason for her not to come back. There is no reason to try to connect it to Noth.

The signature order is interesting. Cynthia Nixon first, makes me think she wrote it, followed by SJP then KD. I would have expected SJP first, or alphabetical order.

I know these are allegations right now. But his talent agench would not drop him and he wouldn't be fired from this show unless there was really something to it.
