Agreed. Then, sure several players can land at Ivies, but the majority will end up without either of those opportunities. Elevating everyone on the field might end up creating more options for all.

Looks like one to W&L but you are correct that in comparison to past years. For instance 2024 had quite a few to Amherst for instance. Could be purely based on grades or desires of the players.

So they can go on to be professional women's lacrosse players? You would be crazy to not use lacrosse to get to an Ivy or turn down Harvard or Brown to play at Stony Brook or Syracuse.

Not this worn out conversation AGAIN! Capital is not pushing girls to high academics. These girls are choosing Ivy League schools over top lacrosse programs aren't doing so out of necessity; they're making a deliberate choice. These players have the talent and several had offers to play at top 10 lacrosse schools but opted for the Ivy League/High Academic because they CAN. Lacrosse rankings do not mean a lot to many players. They leveraged lacrosse to get into the best school on their list which may not be the best school on your list.
Choosing an Ivy League/high academic path is not a compromise or last resort. Even with the option to play at top lacrosse programs, several of the girls prioritized academics for their college lax experience. I know mine did as well as two other teammates.
It's important to recognize that these players have the ability to play for top 10 college lacrosse teams but choose the Ivies/high academic schools for a reason. I genuinely hope your player finds the perfect fit for their goals, whether it's at a top lacrosse school or elsewhere. I hope you realize that development and improvement often require dedication beyond regular team practices. The top athletes are those who put in the extra work independently to elevate their game. Relying solely on team practices can limit potential, especially by the high school recruiting season. If your player is not working on her own development and challenging herself she will not be a top recruit and then she won't have ivies or top 10 ranked options on September 1.

Since most of the dust has settled, looks like from a lacrosse rankings perspective, based on end of year 2024 rankings, currently Cap Blue 25 has 13 committed to top 25 ranked schools & Cap Blue 26 has 6 committed to top 25 ranked schools.
