I don’t care what you think of his politics—former President Donald Trump just struck one of the most iconic poses in U.S. history.

His fist-raised salute of defiance is surely enough to win him re-election to the White House. Especially if the American people have to choose between a doddering incumbent and the man who got to his feet seconds after an assassination attempt and punched the air with blood trickling down his face.

Make no mistake, the image of a bloodstained Trump standing with one arm aloft instantly takes its place alongside the greatest photos in American history.

He was an idiot for vying for the crowd and camera while someone was trying to kill him. You may find it iconic. I find it a sign of his idiocy.

The more I look at the videos, the more anomalies pop up. Here are the questions that I have.
1. What was the exact distance between the podium and the building? You can hear the delay between the shot and impact, which indicates the distance the bullet travelled, and the building roof was only 200-300' away. A professional sniper should be able to hit the end of an eraser at that distance.
2. There seem to be a series of two shots at 1/2 sec, followed by three rapid at 4/5 sec, and possibly another at 16 sec? Why was there a pause between 2 sec and 4 sec? The shooter had to know it was a miss.
3. What was the exact sequence and timing of who shot what? A twitter clip showed the secret service sniper held on target. Why?
4. What was the exact caliber and type of weapon fired and did it have a suppressor? I've seen .223/.308/AR-15-style posted elsewhere. But a professional sniper wouldn't use a suppressor, since it reduces muzzle velocity. One clip seemed muffled, but after thinking about it that could be explained by using professional noise cancelling devices.
5. Identity of the shooter and motivation?
6. The woman with the white phone to the left of the President in the stands is very calm with her phone video recording. Who was she and why didn't she seem phased by all of this?

If you look at nations that successfully reduce violence, they don't do it by recovering all the guns in the country. They do it by having a strong and effective police force and by having severe criminal penalties for violent crimes. We have done the opposite and violence is exploding.
