You really don't know what you are up against. In addition to parents, the existing players will not take kindly to a bunch of freshman who expect to start as freshman. My best advice would be to STFU for the next several years and encourage your daughter to work hard to earn a spot.
There is also not one person that said people would be starting.
This whole cluster started because someone said "i would not be surprised if they all make varsity as freahmen" - while talking about club teams. And someone erroneously asked if they were talking about SR. Which had not been mentioned.
Going back through this thread, the club team is obviously the team that everyone here has been bashing. YJMA. Which makes sense because they are a small team and their players all go to different schools and will probably all make varsity as freshmen. But someone here is clearly a fan of the entire 2030 class to make that jump!
Most of the SR girls don’t play on YJMA so not sure these posts are talking about that club. Most of the SR girls play on a different club. 2030 SR class is on 5 club teams by my count.

American Select.
It will be one of the first all star ever events for the 2030's. If this SR class will have 5-10 girls playing varsity as freshman, there should be at least 5-10 girls on AS rosters this summer.
What is it? Is it a tournament team? What is the point at this age?

Don't panic. Only the 2027 and 2028 Stone Ridge parents will be around long enough to remember the peacocking of the 2030 class when they were in 7th grade.
Why would the people who are aghast be panicking? Say what you mean so a reasonable person can understand what you're saying.

Among the Stone Ridge midfield juniors and seniors this year, there are five D1 commits. Is some freshman going to come in and take a starting spot? Maybe, but I would not get my hopes up. That's the situation at a lacrosse powerhouse and it is not going to be any more accommodating when the 2030s are freshman.
You don't think there are politics involved when there are five D1 midfielders already on the team and a crew of talented freshman show up? Do you really think who is starting, or even playing, is the result of pure talent evaluation with no other considerations or influence?
