Subject: US coronavirus cases top 10,000 and on the same or worse curve than Italy
According to Trump, the US is "turning the corner."
In a sense, he is right. With unchecked spread in most of the states (pretty much everywhere but Alaska, Maine and Vermont) and hospitals in the upper midwest at capacity, we are about to turn the corner to a long, dark winter of death and illness. If, like Jared Kushner, you aim for "herd mentality" then we will get the horrific death count and as bad, untold numbers of Americans with permanent organ damage.
This is an unmitigated disaster by any metric, and it is shocking that 40% of the country is just fine with it.

The CDC has a new excess death number. Through October 3, the US has 299,028 excess deaths.
Officially, 2/3 of those deaths have been attributed to Covid. But the real toll is closer to 300,000 Covid deaths.

How can they make this 3-4 year prediction?
We don't know if we will have an effective vaccine in a year, if we do, many people won't take it, and even if they did, people won't immediately start flying again.

I heard NIH has told its employees they will be online only until at least Nov 2021. so those in the know are not fooled with vaccine propaganda.

I just cannot believe that seven months into this sht idiots like this are still trying to say that we should all just be out there yahooing about as if there's no possible way of knowing who is sick and who isn't, and keeping sick people home so they can get better and not infect others
This is why I haven't eaten at a restaurant in seven months, and can't imagine when I will again. Because, yeah, I would like to know that the other people there aren't going to infect me with a deadly disease, YOU GD HOMICIDAL IDJUT
