There's so much to unpack here. No one who opposes this dangerously kooky family takes any pleasure in the fact that at least five little girls were sexually assaulted. Many of us who oppose fundamentalist and patriarchal religions do not do so froma place of hate, but because we know - some of first hand - that this kind of terrible outcome is a natural consequence to fetishizing sex and religion. If this happened to you I am sorry and it wasn't your fault.If this had happened to me I know without a doubt my parents would have turned him in and gotten me counseling. Also my loving father who never raised a hand to us and worked day and night to do anything for us would have likely beat the shot out of him. Because that is the normal reaction to hearing your son molested your daughter.....Not "how can we protect him and our brand.
