Sterling Soccer Club offers multiple competitive pathways for female players.
Our ECNL pathway is available through our official partnership with Herndon, giving our players access to one of the highest competitive platforms in girls youth soccer.
In addition, Sterling Soccer Club has direct access to NCSL and EDP leagues, where we manage and compete with our own teams.
These tryouts are open to all players who want to compete at a higher level and continue developing in a structured and competitive environment.

They are required to field girls teams in order to field the boys teams. I don’t see what other option they have for next year.
I guess they could switch to MLS B team and Aspire.
I don’t have any faith in club leadership to get out ahead of any problems. If not forming girls team puts their ECNLRL status in jeopardy it feels like they will realize that way too late and just say “oops” to everyone who already paid for next year.

The club management is disorganized and deceitful and the coaching situation for DS’s HS aged team was awful. After playing K on, he quit soccer entirely due to the experience. My advice to new families is stay away.
Was he on one of the many teams where the coach quit during the fall season?
I’m not sure. We didn’t finish out the season so the coach might have left after.
Almost all the high school boys coaches quit so if he played on 2008 RL, 2010 RL, 2010 2nd team, or 2011 RL, the coach bailed on Herndon too. Sounds like you made a smart decision cutting your loss.
