I also knew BB personally about a decade ago and he actually bragged to me that he stole about 10k from a bank he was working at. He was positive he would never be caught because there was no proof. It was a Capital One if my memory serves me right.

The Treasury Inspector General For Tax Administration (TIGTA) investigates allegations of IRS employee misconduct. It's a bit of an interesting question if he spoke with TIGTA. I wonder if he's a member of FLEOA.

Generally, if an IRS agent uses force they are required to memorialize the circumstances related to the use of force. Then they are interviewed by TIGTA. In such a situation, FLEOA might assign an attorney to represent that agent for the administrative part of the investigation.

IMO, FLEOA wouldn't staff an attorney for any criminal exposure he has.

I think the firing of his service revolver is a big piece shaping their telling of the story. VA says BB NOT in house when AP shot JR. So her telling was not supported by the evidence according to the government. Seems they have good evidence because him not being present was a key to charging her. SO if he was not there, how was his service revolver present and used? We've only heard a bit of the government's case and evidence. Far more to come out, at trial for if they try for bond again.

No, the government pension is not what it used to be -- especially for people hired after a certain date. I retired about 2 years ago as a GS-15, and my pension is about 1/3 of my salary, less health insurance, taxes, etc. The pension basically pays my mortgage. I'm not complaining, but I definitely cannot NOT work if I want to live in the area (I'm a contractor now). Maybe if I move to Idabel, OK, I could live on my pension... All this to say, his pension would not be that big.

Also just to clarify (my comment was worded poorly), he was already working at the IRS when we spoke. This bank thing was probably prior to 2010.

Other posts in this thread have said that he now works for the FBI. Do you know if that’s true, or is/was he still working for the IRS earlier this year?

I ask because the FBI requires polygraphs. How would stealing 10K be something one could hide in the course of the security interview, background investigation, and poly? Seems like that or instances of criminal behavior, or just being the kind of person people didn’t really trust, would have prevented a security clearance.
