One has a car with Wisconsin plates. One with California plates. I suppose they could be exempt but we live in Western Loudoun so I doubt they work on the Hill or are in the military.
I ended up behind the car with California plates today at a stop sign as we both pulled out of our driveways at the same time. The plates expired in June 2024.
I am normally a live and let live person, but tax avoidance costs everyone more. Would you report this if you were in my shoes? I am trying to decide…
LOL, sure it does, Karen
Everyone shouldn't pay taxes if they don't want to.
Explain how someone not paying the money grab personal property tax on their vehicle literally costs you more.

Don't be that neighbor. How miserable must your life be to devolve to this level of pettiness.

Sheesh, many people live paycheck to paycheck. They probably can't afford the high Virginia car tax.

Your neighbors think you’re a sucker for paying, OP.

My daughter got waitlisted and it pissed me off to no end that her crappy classmate got a spot when mine didint. So I called the school (anonymously) and told on her.
UVA pulled back her offer. Mine never got in but I'm sure whoever did get off the waitlist was more deserving than her drunk classmate.
Good on you OP!
I bet the girl was prettier, more popular, and more athletic than your daughter, too.
Sounds like you’re mad that your spawn wasn’t even as good as some crappy teenage drunk.

I've had the opposite experience. Parking enforcement will come out within 24 hours and check out the vehicle and its registration.
I have zero issues reporting people who steal.
