Yep. People are realizing the benefits of bitcoin: it's a bearer asset that can't be seized or turned off; you can walk across a border with 12 words memorized in your head and your wealth intact.
Unless the value drops by 50%? And how are you going to cash out of the bitcoin to pay for what you need without a bank account in the country where you are located?
Dollars or gold would make a lot more sense.
You will be robbed before you get somewhere safe with dollars or gold, assuming you can even gain access to it.
