No one wants either books, honestly, but no one really wants Jen’s new book.

Some people see a need and work to address it.

Some people see a need and exploit it.

On the video they call what they have "a partnership" and he is extremely cagey about talking about "romance". He chooses his words carefully to the point of boredom. I think she has painted herself into a corner with this situation and is simply worried about the optics of it. His birthday post for her could be about any good friend. I think they use "partner" like square -dance partner. They link arms now and again, and take photos to pretend.

I listened to the podcast (long flight with nothing else to do). She told a story about how she and some friends composed, practiced, and performed a song in middle school. It was about what you would expect from 8th grade girls, but it was a memory for her. She started to sing it, and he immediately started interrupting her: “okay, we get it; okay, that’s enough; Jen, we get the point, you can stop now; please stop, that’s enough.” He spoke over her and interrupted the whole song and would not let her finish.
I’m not a fan of hers, and I know she also interrupts her podcast guests and constantly brings the focus back to herself, but the way he was so rude and dismissive of her memory made me feel the teeny tiniest bit sad for her.

Aaaand, back to "What must these people be thinking about me?" I admire confidence and swagger but this is something else.

Neither of them are smiling.

There's no eye contact.

He scratches himself and places his hands over his lips when he speaks. Why-oh-why, when these people claim to be professional speakers, do they not try to level up? She's usually all over herself and smacking and whispering.

She asks him a question that he does not answer, instead spitting out some word salad with a bunch of buzzwords in it like "vulnerability" and "honesty" without saying how they're vulnerable and honest.

Even though it is obvious this is a strained relationship if it is even a relationship at all, these two manage to inject smugness into this farce.

Jen is absolutely correct to make fun of her fangirls and call them corneaters. If they find this nonsense and whatever that was yesterday inspiring and real, they probably would eat the corn out of her you know what.

Tyler actually wrote a post about her birthday. He “loves the mess out of her,” and referred to her as Jennifer Lynn King three times. Why?! That seems disrespectful, as she hasn’t changed her name.
