John knew he held all the power in the family, so he believed he could keep Patsy and Burke in line. He also was someone who had used his power and money to his advantage before, so knew how to throw his weight around. He enlisted Patsy as an accomplice after the fact and then kept her drugged and terrified ever since. All of this probably contributed to her demise.

I think it's an assumption that only one person "wrote" the note. Santa was a professor -- what if he dictated it like he was at a lecture to someone else who wrote the words down, which would explain the "Listen.." part. What if the person writing it wasn't the best at spelling? Why assume the misspellings are to disguise the writing? Maybe one person wrote it part of the way and the other took over, or had input?
I'm not sure I'll be able to trust their conclusions at the end.
Did they say it was only one person? My impression was that they were suggesting it was a combined effort with Patsy writing.
Seriously, what is the obsession with Santa?!
No one wants to believe it's the parents. Creepy Santa sounds like the best alternative perhaps?
It's not that no one wants to believe. It's that some of the best criminal experts are saying it is almost unheard of for a murder of a young child that brutal to be the parents with no history of abuse or violence.
This particular show, at least part 1, seemed to be implying i
t could be Burke and that perhaps the parents were covering, but as others have mentioned, despite some social awkwardness, he has lived a fairly normal life with no violent episodes.
The whole thing is full of contradictions.

Me too and my money is on the boy who was, I think 10 at the time. Accidental fall down stairs and then cover up?
yes - i think it's possible that burke PUSHED her down the stairs. that could cause the brain injury. he was prob jealous b/c jonbenet was the center of attention 24/7 & it seems like burke got zero attention....
Yup, accidental by a family member is the only thing that makes sense, which of course, is why the Denver police reached the same conclusion. Also entirely consistent with the fact that the parents did love her.

I agree. The Investigation ID one was better.
Really? I totally disagree. Love the reenactment of the crime scene. I hear that the Ramsey's lawyer , Lin Wood, is going crazy right now threatening lawsuits against CBS. Did you know he is also Dr. Phil's personal lawyer? Hmmm......not a coincidence I think
A lot of the interviews are nonsense, and prove nothing.
Example-
The "friend" who said JB told her daughter that the trophies were really for her mom...just silly. Six year olds wouldn't have a conversation like that.
Patsy dying JB's hair...neither here nor there.
