It says David Moyse is Kenneth Saltzman's defense attorney. Moyse is married to a Montgomery County prosecutor. Nice.
Does it really matter? Unless I misunderstand, the most Saltzman faces is $5000 in fines.
Because he hosted only two underaged drinkers at his estate?
His "estate". Haha. It's like a $600K house out in Gaithersburg. But continue on with your blabber about the wealthy in Potomac.
No, it's North Potomac and it's a lot more than that.
"North Potomac" = Gaithersburg, and if it's an "estate", I'm the Earl of Grantham.
Post a photo if you like. Lawyer dad's party house address is now in the news, as it was a crime scene.
I posted the address, which was deleted (which I respect). You can google yourself. The house was purchased for $400K and zillow now values it at $650K. Anyone calling it an "estate" is ridiculous.
That's his only property?

Any time I read/hear statements like the above, I hear alcoholism.
If you need alcohol to do something -- anything -- you're an alcoholic.

Well, only two that died.
Then really he should get $2,500 for each child still alive and two counts of involuntary manslaughter or at minimum, accessory to the crime. But we all know that won't happen and parents will continue to have these parties because if the risk is only to pay a few thousand in fines, so be it.
You may have been absent the month that they taught about the court system when in 10th grade. A defendant has the right to a trial by a jury of his peers. Just because there might have been 40 people present at the party does not mean that he automatically has to pay $2500 x 40. The state has to prove that he provided alcohol or sanctioned the giving of alcohol to all 40 kids. "Involuntary manslaughter or accessory to the crime"? You don't have a clue. Neither charge applies here unless the state is ready to prove that he encouraged Ellis to drive 105 mph and kill his passengers.
