Subject: Initial boundary options for Woodward study area are up

Don't worry, under option 3, EVERYONE gets super long bus rides. -DP

The time you have with your kids when you work is so very short. It would be heartbreaking to waste that time on a bus or sitting in traffic.

I would agree with you, but I know how effective WJ cluster is - The WJ PTA cluster operates with corporate discipline. It's impressive. Westside parents are tired of having their magnet students on the bus to Blair every day. So this academic program analysis is very focused on travel time for students, to dovetail with this westside community point of view.
They are welcome to advocate but pretending they are specifically deserving of short bus rides over other families is disgusting
These WJ families would have the longest bus rides. I think you are missing the point here.

Yes, Option 3 has many split articulations from MS to HS. Most middle schools split to 2, 3, or 4 high schools.

Don’t even get me started on that. WJ had a student get hit a few years back crossing a busy road to get on a bus and I don’t think they ever changed the bus stop. Heartbreaking head injuries with life long impact. Horrible.

Ok well I don’t want my kids “out of my hair.” At any rate, if you care about having kids in your hair, they are more likely to be if there’s a great distance between you house and the school. Think about having to leave work to get a sick kid from school. Or having to get them to school if they miss the bus. Or trying to figure out how they can do an after school activity that doesn’t start until 5.
