Lunz hates Trump and has been hard on him all election cycle, so this is pretty damning. It’s also bad for Harris that this is the last debate until the election and everyone is just going to be left with JD Vance dog walking Walz and “I’m friends with school shooters” memes.
Walz is known for misspoking many things, but some of them are really concerning. I don't think the school shooter is as bad as his misrepresentation of his military service.
Confusing Israel with Iran is my biggest concern. In the light what happened yesterday, how he can do it? Jewish votes were outraged yesterday.
On the day when Iran was bombing Israel, right?

I thought he came off very slick, his facial expressions just a tad smug, bordering on know-it-all, with a whiff of condescension. It was totally apparent this is a guy who knows how to do PR on the fly. Rewriting Trump's actions in the telling, with such easy-breezy confidence was infuriating. Maybe that's the benefit of Yale law school training.
Usha was heavily involved in preparing him to debate. It is refreshing to hear highly educated people speaking in public.
So I bet you love hearing Obama talk
I LOVE Obama! Vance speech and presentation was at his level. Walz was not.
Yes Vance was really that good.
Poised and articulate like Obama.
I swear I did not expect to come off liking this guy who has been the butt of jokes the last one month.
Agree. And I was pretty confused why Trump would even pick him. But now I see. He was excellent and didn’t come off as slick or smug at all. He came off as poised, articulate, and cool under pressure. As if he could deal with World leaders with ease and not be a push over. Walz did seem like a great person, but all the agreeing with Vance made him look like a pushover. He would do the US no favors in negotiations
Walz is very weak politician. He will be better if he continues serving his state. He is not at the WH level.

I’m not voting his ticket but this is my honest opinion. Out of the candidates on both tickets he is the strongest debater.
He is also much younger than ol’ man Walz. I just wonder if Vance might hold back due to respect for someone so much older than himself?
Vance was just like Obama: smooth, polished and very well put together in his appearance and in his thoughts. Out of four of them, he is the most presidential unfortunately.
He certainly lies better than the others.
Vance does give Obama's vibes and I see why a lot of people don't like him.
A lot of people found Vance more likeable after hearing him speaking, instead of cut of media selected pieces. He is very civil, educated, great family. What not to like?

Smooth speaking matters not at all when you lie.
People were ready to overlook many of Obama's lies just to get him in the office. I voted for him twice and will gladly vote for Vance just to have civility back in the WH.
Vance is not civility. Someone who would pen a novel disparaging a huge segment of Americans while purporting to support them is pure evil.
He was pretty civil and respectful yesterday.
Vance was an obvious winner.

Did you get the feeling at times that he actually can't stand Trump? It was a werid vibe.
YES! I listened to every minute of it and that was one of my conclusions. But the guy is not nice. He played a nice guy on live TV. He's still lying about Haitian immigrants. He's still lying about access to abortion, and gun control. He's just very slick. I don't trust him one bit.
The reality is that Vance, like a lot of Republicans, loathe Trump with every fiber of their beings. But they're such gross opportunists and cowards, they don't get that they need to reject him en masse in order to get out of their own nightmare.

You’re effing joking, right?
Does this person not realize Trump will be the one in the WH?
Trump is not going to make it in a next four years, it will be either Vance or Harris.
