You would have to scroll back through their IG and FB. They have made numerous staff announcements over the last couple months. This is one of them - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14ZjR6CSW1b/

Was he on one of the many teams where the coach quit during the fall season?

I’m not sure. We didn’t finish out the season so the coach might have left after.

Almost all the high school boys coaches quit so if he played on 2008 RL, 2010 RL, 2010 2nd team, or 2011 RL, the coach bailed on Herndon too. Sounds like you made a smart decision cutting your loss.

Hutchison - very sketchy, a HHS student was murdered next to the field an hour after practice ended there one night.

Arrowbrook--very difficult for practices due to behavior of local neighbors, issues with thefts from kids backpacks during practices and people refusing to leave the field

Bready-best field simply for safety reasons, seems to be reserved for the girls teams and younger boys teams

We used to practice at HHS but did not seem to have practice space there this fall. Maybe that's why the practice fields were so much more crowded than previously.

My son plays for another club and they had a friendly game against a Herndon team yesterday. So it sounds like some teams are getting the games you were charged for.

No way. That $$ went into the "Spain for 9-year-olds" fund and to pay for indoor training space for NA's teams.

They didn't even come close to meeting their fundraising goal so if they do go....it does make you wonder where the funding is coming from

To be fair this is the time when HYS steps their game up, everyone shows up at practice, everyone is chatting and listening to the parents until tryouts and once you accept the offer and make your first payment… they sign you up for their own HYS tournament and a fake made up tournament that another HYS director runs. People complain then fall for their games again

Have seen no evidence of this. Every parent I know in our child's age group is angry with Herndon and planning on leaving. A coach left in fall and instead of hiring new coach, they sent that team to practice with our team all winter. The combined practices are a lot worse, a lot fewer touches on the ball and a lot less feedback. Now parents found out that's the plan for the entire spring as well. Not through any communication from Herndon! So instead of having their own team trainings with their own coach, our players will have 1 coach: 2 teams (35 kids) at every training. They not even sending an other coach to help run the trainings. These are middle schoolers who need a lot of coaching. They completely changed what we are getting for the cost. Every other Herndon team will be practicing with their own coach. No word on how the coach will cover five different team games every weekend. And, no explanation, apology, discounts from Herndon to the parents about any of this.

The only benefit to a situation like this (the ONLY benefit) would be being able to play full field at practices with the two teams. I assume Herndon scheduled spring practices for these 2 teams to share a full field. If not, parents should riot. And there should be a paid assistant. 1 coach cannot provide sufficient feedback and training to 35 kids at a time. That's nuts.

They’ll use the snow and weather as an excuse. Zero chance of a refund.
