I don't think there's a conflict there. It sounds like one of those situations where she didn't see the red flags until the truth came out. Then she saw them in hindsight.

I also found it so confusing. She admits that she engaged in toxic positivity when she posted about her marriage online, and that positivity was harmful to herself and some of her followers. She spoke about how many women connected to her when she let herself be vulnerable.

And yet, what does she continue to post online? Her friends are THE BEST! Her crew is PRECIOUS! Adult friendship is just SO EASY AND PERFECT! Isn't she SO DELIGHTFUL!?

IDK she lets her underage kids drink. One has had a DUI. Is that a normal thing? To let your teens drink? I have three and I guess I'm not a cool mom. I'm not cool drinking with my teens, even at family functions when they aren't driving.

Did you listen to Glennon's (We Can Do Hard Things) latest podcast interview with Jen? A LOT ABOUT THE DIVORCE was revealed. And it validated why my bullshit radar has been in the red for the last few years. Jen more or less stated that she has been the "clean up crew" for her husband's and kids' crap behavior. We all know these women, right? Their husbands and sons have public meltdowns, say rude things, and basically act like assholes, and they come in and giggle their way through the mess. "Aren't they funny? There they go again. I'm fine. Everything's fine. Family is crazy, right?????" These women kill themselves to make their families look fun and perfect, while in fact they're being bullied and emotionally abused behind closed doors. Jen has come off as phony and insincere because she was indeed playing a phony role.
