Isn't what he did today finally negotiating like an adult? I didn't think Pelosi would have accepted his proposal as it, but it deserved a counter rather than outright rejection.

I think sentiment will shift in favor of trump and against democrats if they don't consider trump's offer. regardless of what you think about trump, it's not unreasonable.

It’s McConnell’s shutdown. Repeat that a million times to every one you know. The McConnell shutdown. He can stop it tonight if he wants. Blame the voters of Kentucky.

I think McConnell is cutting bait. He will continue this till Trump gives up and trumps base turn on him. McConnell and the republicans got what they wanted. Now it’s time to get the next useful idiot.

question: Will the Senate vote on Trump's new proposal this week? What will that vote look like?

Who cares? DOA in the House.

I guarantee you that if Pelosi and Schumer capitulate now, you will be in this same position two or three times a year for the rest of Trump’s presidency because it will teach him that if he shuts down the government, he gets what he wants.

Put pressure on McConnell. The Rs have to dump Trump.

Is this the second Friday you've said this? Or the third? I've lost track.

Because it doesn't include the $5 billion for the wall. Duh.

Why not introduce a bill with the $5 billion included to end the shutdown? It's a small amount, relatively speaking. This is just about the Dems not wanting to give Trump a "win" in deterring illegal immigration.

Because the wall is stupid and racist, duh.

This is just about Trump playing not wanting to give in to his new reality.

Pelosi's already released a statement rejecting Trump's proposal, which is a compilation of previously rejected proposals. All Dems are in lock step.
