Would you still feel the same way if he were your daughter’s husband? Or your own? Your best advice is for him to leave the mother of his children because she has mental health issues? Admirable.

Anonymous wrote:I think pretty much her whole life until she moved out after Carly was traumatic - they way her parents treated her, the way Butch treated her, the drunken fights, arrests - it's all traumatic. That said, I feel like she brings it up SO often that it's become a blanket excuse for anything that she doesn't want to do.

After all, the scene where she was short with nova when she got out of bed shows she’s fed up and this treatment takes all life’s stressors away. Sure we all get frustrated by our kids but I’d I’d been away from my kids for more than a month, I’d be able to handle a nap time. I think she is absolutely afraid and she absolutely thinks she NEEDS to be in patient. It should be the facility that should be working with her while she’s home (establishing a therapist locally, someone who can monitor her mess, etc) to find her footing. The facility is doing her no favors for allowing her to jump right back with them.
I have missed a few episodes. What is the trauma? Is it her mom as stepdad being addicts? Or giving up Carly?
