And they have only opened the strait partially, on a shallow and narrow part, with the condition that USA cooperate - but much disagreement still remains so it’s likely to be shut again.

Uh, Iran now has a grip on a major oil chokepoint unless the US keeps a huge fleet stationed there. They also ruined Gulf State alliances with Israel and the US by hitting them with missiles/drones.They are a major ME power now.

Yup. I believe a lot of what Trump does is to best Obama. Trump keeps cutting off his nose despite his face. It’s amazing how much damage one narcissistic, mentally unstable individual can do.
