I guess at least we walked those five blocks because we lived in the city. Here, I expect you all drove in your range rovers with entire cases of bottled water and freeze-dried mango slices from Costco in the back.
This is such a ridiculous attempt at a humble brag, but your knock about the ""Range Rovers" screams insecure & envious.
I don't have a Range Rover and will probably never own one, because I just don't care that much about cars.. but I certainly would never begrudge another parent who drives one.
Malcontent isn't a good look, and certainly not one that you should be emulating for your kids.

They could have worked a bit quicker. It should not have taken 5 hours.
How much faster could the police have ended the situation had Magruder told 911 the boy had been shot?
I am sure the boy who still is struggling to survive in the hospital would gladly trade places with a student who had to use a trash can as a toilet.
+1 I'm still floored that they told EMS no siren, and that it took so long to call the police. Clearly, the admins, staff and security guard didn't recognize what a bullet wound looks like, nor should they have to. I have no idea what it looks like. If they had recognized it, then I would hope they would immediately call the cops and put the school in lockdown since they would not know if the shooter was still on campus or not. You would err on the side of caution, and lock down immediately.
So many misses here. Tragic.
Damn. Another compliance training unit next fall. "Wound Identification and Recognition"

The planet that can tell time.
The shooter was arrested at 3 PM. The lockdown went on until 6:30 PM.

SWAT is coming into the school with loaded rifles. They need students contained so they are mistaken for the shooter till the arrest is made. SWAT isn’t going to pause or announce to teachers where they are in the building and which classrooms they are going to search first.
If your child has a blood sugar issues, they should keep extra snacks in their backpack. Use trash cans as toilets if necessary. The goal in a lockdown is to keep students alive. Wondering the halls for bathroom breaks or serving snacks is not applicable to that goal.
You want a girl to pull down her pants and use a trash can? Imagine the smell and embarrassment.
Yeah. But getting shot is worse.
