Don't cannibalize the top of your league with weak add ons for geography purposes. 8-0 or 9-0 games are a black eye for the league. If they want geographic landmarks in big cities but the teams aren't high quality, it ruins the league reputation. GA is not as big as a draw as ga may think. Teams won't transform overnight with an influx of top talent at the next tryout. There's only so much high caliber players around.
Is 9 to 0 games not happening in ECNL. Lol. Its public information feel free and go to website

They keep digging themselves a hole , create a barrier to entry. Pretty simple, you need a history of solid results throughout an organization. You don't need to be a top 50 tram in the country but come on ga, do better
cause GA is a low level conference. they are picking off the lower lever rl teams,. dpl teams and ecnl teams who are getting the boot. they don't care about quality, its all about quantity
ECNL just promoted an entire RL conference to NL…
Those families costs just went up another 1000 or so dollars. And you are saying GA is adding quantity over quality?
There's 10 or so MLSN + girls ECNL clubs across the nation. Let me explain how the GA conversation will go with theses clubs.
"Put your girls teams in GA or we'll demote your MLSN teams to MLSN2"
And clubs will do it because boys ECNL is that bad. And I don't mean bad from a competition perspective. I mean bad in its ability to make $$$ for clubs.
And on the other side there are about 10 clubs with GA and boys ECNL.
Who will play hardball there? ECNL or MLSN

Anonymous wrote:Are geographic wins a bad thing? Let's just hypothesize for a second. If they're trying to lay a geographical blanket for their bigger picture is that a bad thing? People have been suggesting that this is going to lead to a homegrown style system similar to how MLS functions, MLSN has a pretty large number of teams, can't blame them either as you would want a big umbrella. Can't invite everybody, but whoever is getting on the train first will be a few steps ahead.

Money 💰 dummy
This is Seattle metro area. Need to be in all the major cities to make money 💰
Exactly. ECNL hats act like youth soccer clubs are some valuable sports franchise that ECNL/GA try to acquire. It’s about numbers and money. Not about “ranked” clubs and teams. Which btw, trying to rank youth soccer clubs and teams is the dumbest thing ever.
