Should be, but because GOP voters are a bunch of followers (as we all are to some extent! but Republicans make conformity one of their goals), “weird” is the thing that sticks.
Which itself is its own weirdness. None of the meaningful criticisms have mattered to potential Republican voters, and even that little attempt to overthrow the government didn’t bother many of them.

It’s so delightfully on point. Republicans like to think of themselves as salt of earth, normal people, but they’ve long since collectively run off the cliff. They’re so bubbled that they have no idea how insane they look to the rest of us.

I mean, Trump and company based this "fact" on a local social media rumor with no actual information. It's weird and bizarre.
It's like they want people to believe weird stuff and then try to harm others.
