This is not the place to ask for opinions, particularly on a TSJ board. There is an army of hateful people who just can't move on with their lives.

My daughter played for TSJ and came from Vienna prior to that. It was the only way we could move from an ECNL -RL to a national level club. In one year we are now playing on an ECNL national team. The drive from Vienna to Hanson field kind of sucked. We didn't have a single issue with the rest of our experience that we haven't had at any other stop along the way.

Really just the commute. I’ve also heard they are staffing up, but I honestly don’t know enough about youth soccer to read between the lines. This was our first year of travel.

To the Parent of the 2016 kid, objectively I would be in favor of it. I think they have one of the better 'controlled environments' at the younger ages and they do attract some athletic talent at TSJ in Springfield. They offered lots of extra clinics and activities that help kids develop, where as some clubs are cancelling their practices on grass fields due to cold and rain/ lightning and off not extra training, that is where they excel. Plus, the younger kids benefit from playing futsal.

We are older at SYC now, but TSJ has done a very good job of helping out younger players, particularly the ones that sign-up for all the extra activities. (Plenty of parents will disagree, but I'd say you'll be better off over there for a few years.)

The simple and honest answer: The last of us who didn’t want to act rashly last year after the FCV hijacking are done. We wanted to stay and give TSJ a chance and we did. And it has been a disaster. There is nothing left of FCV soccer here and the club is the worst run organization I’ve ever seen. We are all out.

Doesn't take much. Lots of empty promises on a real facility for soccer, lose all your academy staff, still don't address the problems and then basically show that you're shifting your energy into football and other sports for TSJ Academy.

Also painfully clear that the “vision” of there is a massive gap between the coaches and the administration (ie Adam and team) and coaches don’t seem to have much control of decisions for their teams.

TSJ is not particular good at anything and below average at most from a Club perspective. Sometimes things get hidden if you get some results. This is not the case.

Nothing can hide the mess at TSJ. On and off the field there are not enough band aids available.

I would not be surprised if they fold their travel program by this time next year. It’s not sustainable the way it’s run.

Wow. That's not cool....at all! Seems like a "material change" to a contract, though. Did anybody try arguing that? Of course, at that point, anywhere else you could go has probably already filled their teams, too, so I guess your only option then would just be to sit out a season or get picked up on a lower level team where they need players. Regardless, not a good luck for the club!

Tracks with what’s happening with the 2016s and 17s this year. Terrible communication all year, last minute planning for everything, then it was unclear how many 2016 teams there were… one in the fall, then they split them in the spring and explained nothing. They barely have enough players to roster 2 teams, and half of them are 2017s. A few weeks ago they suddenly fired the coach… and now that it’s clear more than 1/2 the team is planning to leave, they suddenly sent a contract before they’ve even held the 2016 tryouts.

The older age groups will always be harder to field a team because the girls at that age don't want to change teams while they are in the recruiting process. I don't know how they are doing with the 11s and 12s but they will have to start winning to keep those teams together or hope more girls leave LS/NVA and VRSC.
