100% agree. SR is known for stalling for entire quarters/halves when they are up. It was awesome to see Visi give them a taste of their own medicine. Also thought it was classy that Visi didn’t keep scoring when they were up- they could’ve won by much more because they had possession the whole game. SR was up the whole time at the beginning but lost it, so the stalling seemed fair to me and I loved seeing SR get a feel for what it’s like to lose like that especially to their rival. However I do think the ISL needs a shot clock

I always hate it when a group of high school girls feel strong and successful, if so they should be humbled and learn a lesson. Do you hear yourself? What a garbage way to talk about young women.

I don't have a daughter on either team but hope we can lift up young women who are working hard and doing well. Congrats to Visi yesterday, I hope all of these girls go on to do great things.

The reality is it is unlikely to win a game scoring 5 goals. That is just not enough offense.

SR-Visi are two great teams with wonderful players. On any given day either team could win whatever the reason, talent, good days/bad days/ref calls/coaching. We've all watched enough lacrosse to know that. And, we all know that the next time the teams meet it is anyone's game.

Seems like written word is difficult for you, so let me state this again - Visi won fair and square.
Those two calls were illustrating the point I was making about the substandard MoCo refs that call ISL games. It's very likely that SR had calls go their way as well, though I don't recall any that led directly to Visi goals. I've been watching ISL games for years and it's a shame that the refs don't know the HS rules and instead call the games as if these were 3rd grade rec teams. At times it negatively impacts the outcome and in many cases the players know the rules much better than the referees, which makes it even harder. And again, Visi won for and square or do you need me to state that again?

What calls? This game seemed far better on the official front than most actually. The official issue is real; but have also seen it benefit SR many times in the past. Two calls did not decide this particular game when SR did not have possession for most of 3&4Q. When they did have chances, they quite simply did not capitalize on them. Visi also could have easily scored more, including at the end of the game to have the GD bigger, but they chose not to do it. Fully agree a shot clock is important, but there are maybe 3-4 quality teams in the ISL and that seems the bigger issue in getting a shot clock implemented.

The two calls in question were related to Early Entry - the SR player reached over the line to catch the ball out of the air which is allowed.
Rule 5 Section 8 of USA Lacrosse: Players positioned behind the restraining line may reach over the restraining line with their stick to play the ball on the ground or in the air, as long as no part of their foot is on or over the restraining line. A player’s body may not touch any part of the ground over the restraining line.

SR should not be making excuses. They got beat fair and square and were outcoached. How strange was the IG post that SR athletics put out last night celebrating a 200 goal individual accomplishment? Great player, but seems a bit odd after a major team defeat.

Twice a SR defender, with her feet decidedly behind the line reached her stick over to get a ground ball, which was incorrectly ruled as offsides and directly led to two Visi Goals. And the shot clock comment was more a general statement as I don't like any team, SR or otherwise, stalling to victory; it's antithetical to the sport of lacrosse. I prefaced my comments by writing 'no excuses', Visi won fair and square and was the better team yesterday.

It’s actually an indictment on the coaching that the lesser teams haven’t tried to stall more.

The refs while not great didn't really impact the outcome of the game! In fact, there were very few FP called and very few yellows.
