I think Hoppe will be sentenced to more than ten years. The ten-year sentence is reserved for someone who is sexually attracted to unrelated minors and desperately wants to get laid.
Hoppe wanted to assist a father in having sex with his daughter and was scripting the acts to be performed and supplied props and wardrobe. Hoppe also lied to the FBI about her motive for meeting up with the father.
I think Hoppe will receive a sentence of 15 to 20 years in prison.

Honestly, that seems like a pretty great deal. That she’s trying to get out pretrial suggests she is too delusional to accept the plea, which is unfortunate.

She tried to get released, pending trial, claiming jail doesn't give her meds regularly. Court ordered that info re: how jail is dispensing meds, to be made available to both sides. Next hearing in January.

Status Conference as to ELEANOR HOPPE held on 12/14/2023. The court approves the government's motion for medical information. Government responses due by 1/4/2024; replies due by 1/11/2024. The court directs government counsel to forward records to defense counsel upon receipt. Parties consent to the exclusion of speedy trial (XT) from 12/14/23 to 1/19/24 in the interest of justice. Next status conference is set for 1/19/2024 at 3:30 PM in Courtroom 23A- In Person before Judge Rudolph Contreras. Bond Status of Defendant: Committed with consent to appear virtually.

1. On August 11, 2023, the government formally extended a plea offer to one count
of Coercion and Enticement, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2422(b). To date, the government has not received a response regarding the plea from the defendant. On October 23, 2023, the government informed counsel for the defendant that the plea offer would expire on the date of the next status hearing (then set for December 12, 2023, now December 14, 2023).
2. On December 9, 2023, the defendant filed a motion for release from pre-trial
detention, alleging that the D.C. Department of Corrections (DOC) is not providing her with her required medications on a daily basis. The defendant argues that she is not “particularly
dangerous” and requests release into the custody of her aunt.
3. In order to respond to the defendant’s claim, the government needs information
from DOC regarding its provision of medication to the defendant. However, undersigned counsel has been informed by the General Counsel of DOC that DOC requires a court order for this information.
4. The government therefore seeks an Order from the Court directing DOC to
provide undersigned counsel with information regarding the course of the defendant’s
medication regimen while she has been in the custody of DOC, so that the government may
respond to the defendant’s motion. The government will share this information with counsel for the defendant.
