They spoofed him to point out how ignorant he was about verification. He had to be shown that paying $7.99 for a blue check was not a substitute for the necessity of verifying that the person isn’t an imposter. He was so desperate for those $7.99 payments he was blind to the purpose and need for verification. Everybody told him but he was too stupid to listen, so they had to show him.

Then why are these people so hung up about their blue checks?

JFC. It’s not a status symbol. It’s verification. It means the identity of the person has been verified. It’s important to them because journalists and public figures are plagued by trolls and bots. Musk was planning to eliminate verification and sell blue checks. He’s a moron and didn’t understand why verification matters so they showed him as a joke. He can’t take a joke because he is crybaby.

They also become trolls apparently.
