I can’t do anything about my son (law has been on books for decades) but why the sudden interest in “equality”? I don’t want that kind of “equality.” Let’s start with equal pay and reproductive rights. Btw, if one of my daughters wanted to serve I would support her of course.
What is so special about your daughter that she can't serve in the military?

Men get raped and harrassed in the military, by other men and no doubt by women. No doubt women also get raped and harrassed by women. Everyone and their mother acknowledges that military needs to continue to work on assault and harrassment (and suicide). That doesn't mean that both sexes shouldn't be drafted.
Yet you haven’t provided a compelling reason why it should change.
Goes back to equality. Either you want it, or you don't. You don't get to pick and choose the equality you want from the equality you don't.
Btw, there are plenty of non combat roles for women to occupy as draftees. Then again, you might consider women being ordered to kitchen, custodial, or office work as being misogynistic.
Goodness so persuasive!
Hear that ladies? You can enjoy the privilege of of risking your life for your country!!
You just won’t get to enjoy equal protection under the law to make your health decisions. Oh and we aren’t going to pay you equal to a man!
What a deal!
If you are not smart enough to manage your own reproduction and get a job that pays better than a man, then are suitable for cannon fodder.

Thank you for your service! I agree with this even though I personally would not want to have been in it. I think it's only fair if we want equal rights. Israel does it.
Mom of 2 daughters and 1 son
I’m all for it when I get equal pay.
I’m all for it when the military can prove that my daughter won’t be assaulted and harassed while serving.
TIA
This is an absurd and self serving position. Do all men get "equal pay"? What does that even mean to you? The second point is also ridiculous. You did your daughter's current profession or school give you proof that she wouldn't be harassed or assaulted before she began? I bet not.
Look you want a societal good? Then society needs to put up or shut up.
There is nothing absurd about “women’s work” being intrinsically undervalued. I work in the arts and live it every day.
Thr military’s record of treatment of women is horrendous. They can clean their house, if they want to welcome women in.
Also, you equated forced service to a choice of employment and education.
Women get to choose a campus they feel safe on. They can leave a job if harassed.
Your comparison is ridiculous.
Either you don't know what your talking about or your logic is flawed. In the military everyone receives the same pay for the same rank/years of experience. So the only thing you could be talking about are professions outside of the military unless you are unaware of that fact.
