You would take William and Mary over UNC, Duke and UVA?

The pessimist in me says each of those schools has less of a chance than Florida State, which is absolutely stacked.

I meant UNC, Duke and UVA for academics while still playing in ACC over playing for and attending William and Mary.

What percent is going to UVA or Duke to play? Let’s be for real.

And yes, I would take W&M degree over UNC.

What percent is going to W&M? Don’t act like that’s an easy thing to do. I wonder what percentage of DCUM Parents actually played college sports.

It’s easier to get on w&M team then Duke or UVA. That’s the point

And I’d take a Wake Forest, Duke or UVA degree over W&M as well as a VA Tech or GA Tech Engineering degree over W&M. So what was your point again?

VA Tech...pffft!

How to prove your dumb by not saying you're dumb. Tech degrees in engineering are valuable in my profession. Stay in your lane.

Every kid on W&M’s campus has the grades and test scores to get into VT’s Eng program. The reverse isn’t close to true. Sorry, Hokie.

Ah. So you went to W&M. Good for you. Sorry that your parents over paid for state school education. Do you work for the government in public policy now?

This has gone into the weeds a bit.

Will this be the year FCV is the best team in the nation?

I’d rather my kid have a degree AND be an entrepreneur. A degree provides options and is something to fall back upon in case the other doesn’t work out.

It’s still very hard to do. Something I assume very few parents on DCUM were able to do.

Yes. That’s true. But back to my original point. This isn’t the 80s. The name of the school isn’t as important as the degree. And the strength of the women’s soccer program has almost no bearing on future earnings. Working towards a less demanding degree at VT so you can play ACC soccer is a four year, limited vision plan. College should be about making decisions that impact the next 40 years. If inot, why go?

And more importantly, who cares about hypothetical degrees or hypothetical schools being better than others at this point???

Plenty of great ACC schools! That's why the conference is so stacked with quality players..more than 3 great schools!

And lots of great schools that are not ACC.

Some of Yall are in for a reality check.
