That tells me that they find value in the presence of the SROs in their buildings and that we need the SROs in the schools. It takes a tremendous amount of hubris by the City Council to think that they know better than the Principals. My worry is that on some awful day the children are going to be the ones who pay the price for it.

Know that we will all blame you for the kid's deaths if you supported removing the police.
And your blame will be misplaced because ACPS has its own security department who should have procedures in place to address who can and cannot enter the building. If those procedures are good enough for the elementary schools, they should be good enough for the middle and high schools.
Unarmed. I suppose they will stop a shooter's bullets by yelling?
So in your view the elementary schools are unsafe at this point without SROs?
Imgine making such a callous statemnet to a Sandy Hook parent.

You want a do-nothing candidate with no opinions go vote for the establishment incumbents. The ACPS school board got nothing done and relinquished all authority to the school. I’ll take a decisive person to move this district along. You may not agree with her 100% of the time but it’s a big improvement over doing nothing.
