Funny because I think K dramas are too childish (I don't know how to describe the nuance, maybe not as realistic as American ones?) and vastly prefer TV shows/ movies here. On the other hand I love watching BTS perform on stage. Awesome dance and music.

Tattoos are not well-received in most circles of Korea. They're not exactly my cup of tea but JK has been wanting them for years, so good for him. Maybe they are supposed to make him look older, he's been wanting to be a hyung for forever. I don't think he's trying to present as a teenager.

This. His own company has had his tattoos blurred out in shows.

I don't think BigHit is trying to present them as teens, it's more like to the western eye most Asians look younger than their real ages.
Maybe that's the issue with pps being critical of their looks??
