dp You don't know what a neighbor's dog needs or not. If they are letting him out and giving love that may be enough. I have neighbors who never walk their dogs and they are well cared for and loved.

np Wow so judgy, pp. Op has the right to peace and you insulting her work or not working has nothing to do with that. Her complaint is valid. the neighbors are wrong and should be more considerate.

One tactic that worked for me was to roll out of bed & go outside in full on bedhead & pjs, then stand there & look at the dog until the owner came out. I just said good morning.

Living close to other people requires a higher tolerance level. If you find your tolerance level is low, then moving somewhere with more space is the solution. If you can’t or won’t afford the luxury of more space, then unfortunately your expectations have to adjust to the situation.

I am not the op. I am a full time working mom/wife and a dog owner. I get along with all of my neighbors. I don’t leave my dog out in the yard barking. Years ago I did live next door to a bad neighbor who left their dogs out barking and it made all of the neighbors miserable. They had the police and animal control visiting them for noise complaints regularly. They got away with it, but they made a lot of people miserable. Be a good person and bring your dogs in when they bark, ok?

OP you sound like a miserable neighbor. Maybe walk their dogs if you are so "concerned" - otherwise, MYOB. No one likes a complainer.

My neighbor's dogs are walked several times per week, and of course (because they are dogs) still bark. I would not expect them not to bark. What else do you think should be on your command?

As an actual lifelong dog owner, dogs do bark. However, only trash throws their barking dog unto the backyard. Get off your lazy fat ass and walk the poor dog. The neighbors are rude trash. I bet their backyard is also full of dog shit piles.
