Do you know that saying came from FALSE accusations against persecuted groups? When you say a group is poisoning a well, you are actually saying that they are the scapegoats.
This forum (and this city) is overwhelmingly democratic . . . but a lot of people (like me) will just be voting based on who will open schools. I no longer care about party affiliation. Everyone I know feels similarly.
That’s really stupid. Trump was in the White House when schools closed, and the mismanagement of the entire COVID crisis is the reason many schools did not not open in the fall. Betsy Devos, Trump, and the CDC (under his orders) all pushed for reopening. It still didn’t happen, because ignoring the virus doesn’t make it go away. Weird! You are buying into the Republicans push to win suburban voters by blaming “democrats” and organized labor for their own failures to prevent COVID from spreading like wildfire and killing half a million Americans. They are absolutely indifferent to you or your children. You are just a vote to them, and they’ll still be full of empty promises that put business and banks first and the people dead last. If you’re not smart enough to see through that, then you deserve the horrible policy you get when you vote for these people.
