Your family's diet is nasty. But really, if you need to count your pennies at taco bell, you should stop ordering takeout altogether.

DP. Most of us here are on a budget. I went through Jiffy Lube to change oil yesterday, they told me the filter is gross and showed me. I certainly changed it but it did give me pause that it was $40 extra.
OP do not give a thought to this comment on your diet. Do what suits your family. Boyfriend has no manners and only thinks of himself. He is rude. And no shame in counting pennies either!

If you're already getting the party pack asking for a specific burrito in it is reasonable, and I think a normal Taco Bell order is a few items so asking for two burritos is very normal. The most expensive burrito at Taco Bell isn't even $4. This is incredibly normal.

If you are itemizing and remembering all of this it must really bother you, OP. The TB order is essentially dollar menu items - that’s like $15 worth of food between the two of them. The pizza thing, just say no. Your DD is asking you what’s okay and you need to set boundaries. Or, just say you’re ordering xx pizzas for everyone to share.

I also think you are a middle-aged woman (oh, I’ll just share DS’s cheese pizza) and so you’re judging their eating through your own lens. But, you are the parents! Tell them they’re on their own, or we are only getting entrees today, or whatever. Not that hard.

I wouldn't expect a college student to pay for their own meals nor my kids but he should know better at that age.

We don't know if he's offered to pay or not. It's possible that he has.

Young men eat a lot, and this guy feels comfortable enough around you to not always act like he's at a dinner party. I don't think that's the worst thing. The worst thing is for your guest to still feel hungry after you've bought them dinner because they're holding back out of courtesy. When I was younger with a higher metabolism, I hated staying at my inlaws because there was never enough food for dinner. My MIL cooked as if we were all 5'-0" 100 pound 60-year-old women. We would end up leaving later at night to get more food, and if MIL found out, she would get offended that her dinner wasn't enough for us. It was just awkward and unpleasant all around.

What is he ordering, the Meat Lover’s pizza? My question to you is: are they finishing most of the food or are they over-ordering? If the latter, I would set a boundary. If the former, I would let them order what they need to feel full but order from a less expensive restaurant.
