You know why LOL. Only reason why they allowed that FCV 2004 team to play the VDA 2004 team last weekend was they thought it would be an easy game. Well, that backfired. VDA was way more organized, technical and had way more opportunities to score. Honestly, watch the film. VDA 2004 owned that FCV 2004 team, can you imagine what the VDA 2006 team would do?
I think "owned" is a little optimistic, LOL. FCV had three goals which got called back. When was the last time you saw that? VDA has some very good players, FCV has some very good players. I'd say it was a hard fought game, and the top teams should be playing each other more often in the area. It was a fun one to watch.
That many goals happened in the 06 VDA vs Loudoun game actually. Grotesque line judging.... called an offside on a freaking corner.

These team have young players playing up as many other teams do. If you believe there is no top competition for your team it is probably time to find more challenge for some of your top players and have them playing up.
You're missing the point. The top flight could have been really strong with VDA, FCV, Loudoun and Maryland United...but Loudoun probably wouldn't have fared as well, so instead they bumped FCV and Maryland United down and bumped up two teams that their team could get better results against...All about saving a little face. #RepTheRed!
Right, time to creat your own showcase or arrange scrimmage with these top teams.
“Scrimmages” LOL.
This area is so obsessed with scrimmages. Let’s just create a thread dedicated to talking about practice.
As opposed to what area?
You FCV parents can ask your coach why they dodge VDA 2006 girls. Straight up DODGING... won't even scrimmage.
