Dr. Jones was asked at the school board meeting last night (the meetings that apparently none of you watch) and she said she is only aware of two elementary students (non sped) who are believed to have caught the virus at school from someone else, and no elementary staff.

The school board seemed pleased with the lack of spread at the schools.

Jeff Morse also wants to know why we allow the metrics to be spit on the way up but not on the way down. He wants that changed. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Literally nobody had to do anything. Not a single comment demands a response. But two posters specifically responding in ways that basically say “so what “ are revealing. Like of course you are all great with sending everyone back... you don’t care. It’s just very telling of the attitude everyone in this area has toward others. “It isn’t me or my kids so whatever.”

DP. My kids are supposed to go in tomorrow (I’m not happy about it but can’t choose it based on my job). We got the notice today a teacher is positive at their school.

The liklihood of that teacher having spread it at school is very very low.

I am not worried about that. I’m worried about the human being who is sick. These people care for my kids. They showed up to do this. And one is sick. That... doesn’t bother you guys? The idea of trusted wonderful people who care for your kids getting this?

These responses are really enlightening. So many people just do not care. I don’t have to know where they got it to be worried for them. I don’t have to be concerned that MY kids will get exposed to still be concerned for them. You all really need to do some self reflection. You’re this desensitized to people getting this illness?

What do you want us to do with this information? OMG, somebody was infected! Newflash: a lot of people have been infected over the past several months. The thread and discussion is about kids going back to LCPS, including a side conversation on the implications of a teacher being infected. The system is working as intended, and it's great news that LCPS is going back.

Of course we are concern for the person. I think people are referencing how it might have spread. And the liklihood that the teacher either got it in school or spread it in school.

Tbh that response doesn’t show any concern for the teacher. Didn’t even acknowledge they had it - just “they probably didn’t spread it”
