Bullis won the IAC Championship in 2016, 2018, 2019, and (Runner-up in 2017) 2019 GEICO Nationals champion. That's a good run, no denying that. The question is will they be able to continue to stay at the top. Looking forward to an exciting 2021 season to find out the answer. Stay tuned.

They've won a couple of titles moron they won the last couple. Whoever wins the last IAC game of the season is the real king. Winner takes all.

Let's have Bullis win a couple of titles before we put them on the top of the Lacrosse world in D.C. I think they have won a grand total of 3 IAC Championships. That is right. Count 'em. Three. And only one of them was outright.

New headmaster has made it pretty clear the school is heading in a different direction. I would imagine "some" kids might leave if the scholarship money is reduced.

I don’t think the Mitchell Bros are trying to make the Heights into a power. They went there so they do it for the program. But the religious aspects of Heights are a limitation on fielding a team. I think the Mitchell Bros could be successful at the high school level. But it would have to be at a school where recruiting was more possible. I don’t think that is their goal. They run a successful club program and do the Heights high school thing because of their ties. The two are separate things.

No athlete chooses the Heights unless their family's religion lines up. Same for STA unless there is money and brains to go with skill.

Rumor is that the old head coach is now an assistant at The Heights. Don’t understand how a school like The Heights has arguably the best coaching staff in the area.

The Heights are no better TODAY as a program as they were 5 years ago.

I have seen no improvement in the amount of Wins YOY or even final league standings.

Running a successful club program, which the Mitchell brothers do, doesn't equate to being a top notch HS coach.

Coaching HS is a whole different ballgame then club ball.

Teams 5-10 here are all pretty weak, but Heights and GC get the advantage because of coaches.

Mitchell brothers worthy of respect for their coaching skills, but Pat Young at BI is as good and has done a great job invigorating boys program at BI last two years - his BI teams haven’t lost to the Heights. Young is someone to keep an eye on and a much better coach than coaches in place at #5-10 and likely #4 as well.

Those of us from DJO are excited about our new coach, Jack Rowlett. Similar profile to Pat Young - major college player for an ACC team and a pro player in PLL. Exciting to have both of these young coaches build their programs

Oconell is set for a rough year, there head coach left because of a lack of talent to Rowlett took over. Rumor is that the old head coach is now an assistant at The Heights. I think the Heights must give some field advantages to its assistant and head coaches.

Hard to determine if Gonzaga's "best days" are behind him. They school really benefited when the economy tanked in 2007 - 2009 and saw a major influx in applicants and the quality of applicants. The school pulls from a very wide geographical area and has the enrollment (close to 1,000 boys) to field a very competitive team year in and year out.

Fast forward to today, Mater Dei pipeline seems now to have swung back to Georgetown Prep's favor and not to mention the rise of SJC. Gonzaga boosters have a hard time coming to terms with this but SJC is certainly scooping up some very talented players who could have ended up at Eye Street. Its great for the WCAC to finally have a program who can run and challenge Gonzaga. For almost a decade, the Eagles hardly face any stiff competition from their league other than PVI or DeMatha from time to time.

I think after this year, DC lacrosse landscape will become 4 team race with GP and Landon from the IAC and Gonzaga and SJC from the WCAC. Bullis will gradually begin to fade after this (their 2021 class is loaded but not much in the cabinet after they graduate). The ew Headmaster at Bullis the polar opposite of Gerald Boarman who was sports. obsessed. I've been told Landon has some very strong underclasses and seems to be building but it will be interesting to see who they name as the next head coach.

You must be new to these posts. The agenda here is club promotion. The last post was the ML owner. The DC dogs team is a bunch of Prep players and his 2024 team Landon. He was not thrilled that the top 2022 clubs Hawks and DcE went to SJC and Bullis

You must new to lacrosse as well. The Mad Lax 2018 and 2019 teams were also absolutely dominant in the club lacrosse scene. I think club owner can handle if his program has 1 - 2 "down years, its business.
