How is he not brought up for perjury as well, given deer don't usually wear glasses?

There has to be a will to do a proper investigation but you are thinking correctly. That should have been done the first day of the “investigation.” The family of the deceased should sue. AGs insurance company would at least investigate but they have a financial motive to find no fault on the part of the AG.

Just because the GOP is so monumentally horrible lately, I would totally believe that he hit the person, knew it and lied.

In Virginia it's a Class 3 misdemeanor to hit an animal and not report it or render aid. Also damage more than $1000 to your vehicle on a public road is supposed to be reported. Not doing so is a Class 5 felony. Did you ever take a class to receive your license?
I would think the Attorney General of a state would know the law. Hmmm.

If you go back to the beginning of the thread, I think people were speculating that it might have still been in the road when he hit it and that would be a reason to call? That way they can move it out of the way.
