But the poster above who said anything The Parent Coalition or Ficker is for, is something most should be against because they are a bunch of crazies, is correct. I am for C, against D.

That has not been my experience with Reimer at all - I'm a woman, btw.
Do you live in Silver Spring? Because he's very responsive to people from Silver Spring (where he lives).
I've never had the at-large members do anything but refer me to my district councilmember.
That has not been my experience. I’ve gotten very good help from Jawando’s staff. We also had three of them come to a community meeting on development and our district rep was by far the least interested in our local issues.

So it's not about sexism, it's about where you live? Get your story straight.
Why can't Riemer be both nicer and more responsive to people who live in Silver Spring? It's not mutually exclusive.
So, to review, he's not sexist?

What they did is add their own second referendum, so that if both pass, they invalidate each other. In other words, a poison pill:

They added that without any public comment or notice. That tells you something.
Remember term limits a few years ago. The Council was staunchly against that either. Luckily it passed with about 75% of the vote.
Attitudes like this are exactly why the Republican Party in Montgomery County can't get anyone elected.
It's not because of Takoma (or Tacoma) Park. It's not because of socialism. It's not because of the teacher's union. It's because a solid majority of voters in Montgomery County don't want what you're peddling.

But the first three are effective, engaged, and thoughtful about what decisions they make.
