Someone told me (a women) never marry an attorney. That person was right. They are their own client...they put themselves first above everyone and care about winning/getting their own way with everything, and they are expert gaslighters...requiring you to have “evidence” in every argument.
DW married an attorney and he has made her very, very happy. She is a very lucky woman, believe me.

I get the whole compatible-hours thing. My husband often leaves for work at 5am. So i became a morning person. I workout at 5am, not 7pm. We both go to sleep by 8 or 9. I don't work til 9am so I work out then do laundry or cooking all before going to the office. I have literally nothing to do when i get home around 6 but eat dinner and spend time with my DH and kid. I love that feeling of freedom that when my work day is over, it's really over.

On paper, my ex-beau would have been a good husband match for me. But he is super argumentative -- a Hill senior Counsel. We still have lunch 1-2 times per year. He always says "why didn't we get married?" I then say, because you love to argue too much. He then starts arguing that I am wrong. Bingo.

Completely irrational, but my family ran a small business that when I grew up that ran into union problems regularly. I gained a real distaste for the people I knew who held that position.

Two professions I would shy away from:
- Used car salesmen
- Anyone who works for a Republican.
I agree. I am married to a musician, and the last year was big for him. Which meant I was a single parent for most of it.
