As part of my job I have to review all the state and county orders, and Hogan’s order on 3/19 is nearly identical to most of them that I have reviewed, he just didn’t call it a stay-in-place order. The main point of these orders is to shutdown essential businesses and the MD EO does that.
Anonymous wrote:Jesus you guys have you read the interpretative guidance Hogan provided along with his sham close businesses order? His definition of “essential businesses” is a total sham! My husbands job is not even remotely essential to keep society moving or fight covid. He works for a biotech firm. He’s working on a drug that doesn’t even exist yet, that is nowhere near being approved. But the CEO and higher ups are still making him come into the lab while their selfish asses sit at home safely telecommuting! Hogan’s interpretive guidance needs to be more narrowly drawn. It’s bs.

Yeah, I’m waiting for it. The case numbers are spiking.
Deaths have flatlined at 4 for a few days now. If case numbers are spiking we'd be seeing more. But we aren't.

Check in with us in a few weeks. Right now the cases are few and resources are many. That’s all going to flip.

Anonymous wrote:New poster, also a lifelong Democrat. Hogan is doing a great job and I'm so relieved that he's not showing the Republican streak of science-denial. He's been acting to preserve lives. I know he's in his second term now, but I'd vote for him if an election were held today.

Like we correctly predicted he would in 2018, btw.
Simply 2 stupid statements. Your statements are what this long standing Democrat is beginning to vote Republican at the state and local level in Maryland. Hogan has generally been good on the current crisis. And blaming him for the economic effects here shows a lack of intelligence if not more.
