Ignore the haters. There is plenty to do in Richmond. Go see the Jefferson Hotel in downtown Richmond. It's beautiful. The science museum is also amazing and worth a visit (depending on the age of your child).

Well, there was a big 2nd amendment rally in Richmond last weekend so other than the weather not much different than Texas.

Definitely bring your gun. Locals like that sort of thing...

This is something that is jarring for some of us. We were at the River City fields in December and while my son was at warm-ups, my DD and I ran to a warehouse store for some snacks. The man in front of us in the self check-out line had a handgun strapped to his belt and it was shocking for me, even more so for my DD. We're from a MD outer burb where hunting is prominent, but seeing someone wearing a side arm was eye-opening. But maybe for a team from Texas, it won't be.

Nothing says "I live in the greatest country on Earth" than feeling the need to carry a gun to Walmart to "feel safe".

I grew up down there. A lot of locals don't like it at all. But they don't faint when they see it. For those that might, bring your handkerchieves and smelling salts.

There's little on the east side of town. Go downtown for restaurants, etc. It's all within 10 or 15 minutes.

is SOLAR 09G ANGELONE the same team as SOLAR 09G ADAMES?

Nope, two different teams. The Texas teams seem to win Jeff Cup everytime they come...
Will be interesting though, Jeff Cup messed up by putting the two best teams in the same bracket in the top division. Although Lehigh is #2 in the country, they are over-rated. Cedar Stars is the better team.

I give Loudoun, Arlington, and Pipeline 0.1% chance of winning Jeff Cup.
