Same thing as lunch counter protests in the late 50's in Alabama.

All civil rights are worthy of nonviolent protest. And yes, you can carry a rifle all day long and still be completely NONviolent. His problem is the police just aren't going to arrest him, because he's not breaking any law. Maybe after the VA legislature changes the law he'll have better luck.

All my relatives in VA who collect guns and ammo could not pass a poll / political / history test if their life depended on it. They don't even read internet forums or the freaking newspaper / news websites. I have to help them with anything legal they encounter.

So good luck getting them not to display their guns at lobby day!

Believe it or not many of us are responsible gun owners who do not own, or ever wish to own, assault rifles.

I've inherited hunting guns from my family, and have a small firearm for protection. As do most of my female friends. If you are a woman or person of color, you are crazy if you don't have some type of gun for protection. But I don't feel like I need an assault rifle to kill large numbers of people.

Again, good luck with the protest if you plan to attract gun crazies from all over the southeast and midwest. I will be praying for all the Virginians there, even though I don't support their cause.
