Because of U.Va. Big percent of the class at TJ goes to U.Va. Md. doesn't have an equivalent.
Anonymous wrote:Those are numbers from Polaris list website.
The farms rates are from the MCPS and FCPS websites.
The inability to see facts and argue persuasive, the name calling, and the complete inability to see mockery is indicative of the educational level from MCPS and of your on doing.

Yeah. You're right on brand with HoCo and the rest of MD at this point.
You are also an idiot.
That is the best you can do, isn't it?
You can't argue. You can't produce math to show that you are right.
You just call names.
B-Liar must be so proud.
What the hell is a B-liar.
Also, who the hell has time to gather all those stats? You clearly have some issues. You make fun of UMD boosters but you've got some issues if you spend this much time gathering stats about whether FCPS sends more kids to HYP or MCPS.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:To ^ FCPS poster -- FCPS has lower FARMS rate compared to MCPS, and FCPS is larger. TJ is a WHOLE school magnet vs Blair having only top 100 kids in the entire county.
Please try to understand how that impacts the hard numbers, and then take a look at the numbers for ALL of FCPS compared to ALL of MCPS. Then look at proportional rate, and come back and post. Thanks.
Right: so if TJ can teach 423, where half preferentially choose to go to UVA (which let's be clear, is a fantastic school) and we have say, 200 kids mucking around and we're still sending 79 of them to HYPS, let's to the math. (Because let's be honest, lots of parents send their kids to TJ so that they can go to UVA. It's a preferred choice.)
79/200 = 39.5%
21/100 = 21%
Wait, so we are sending 50% more to HYPS. Huh.
Overall HYPS Stats:
Ballpark numbers, because really... you're can't do it yourselves. How typical.
FCPS = 58K kids. MCPS = 48K kids.
We have 20% more kids than you. We send about 10% more than you to HYPS. Big whoop. I explain below.
You argue you have more FARMS. That means that you are arguing that your kids are inherently struggling to even get to the level of us because they are poorer. Dudes. That's the most sick racist thing I have ever heard. Why?
Because MCPS spends 2.68 billion and FCPS spends 3.0 billion. Meaning for our 20% increase in kids, we are still spendng proportionally less than you, by about 10%.. We are doing more with our money than you are. And you pay a higher tax rate than we do.
Wow. You're arguing over a 10% deviation of HYPS when we spend less than you, we have more kids, and even if our FARMs rate is lower, we still have a #4 school and and we have 4 schools nationally ranked over your two. We have a 50% proportional national success rate over all of your schools. And we do it with less proportional money to our kids, and more kids, and less taxes.
*slow clap* You guys totally get gold stars for participation!
FCPS school system is better because we can do more with less and we keep attracting UMC families.
Such. A. Joy. You guys give me life.
50% more schools in the top 200 of US News.
50% more HYPS when adjusted for preferential UVA enrollment.
Less money for our kids for more competitive education.
More ISEF, Science Bowl winners.
No rapists or sexual harassers.
B-Liar has really brainwashed you guys. It's quite adorable.
MADE. MY. DAY!
