So is watching you Trump humpers sweat while your guy goes down, which he will. Trump apparently just agreed to release all of the whistleblower material by Friday (not that I trust him). It’s coming out one way or the other. And it has to be bad, or Pelosi would not have acted so quickly. Now Mitch appears to be folding; that will be the final blow. We (and you) always knew that the Republicans would abandon ship when Trump threatened their reelection chances. Thick as you Trumpsters are, even you recognize that strongarming a foreign power to interfere in our election on your behalf is really bad. Even better, Pence is totally wrapped up in this as well, so he’s going down, too. I’d love to be a fly on the wall in your house when Pelosi is declared our next President.
I look forward to the swearing-in of President Pence after Trump is gone.
Didn't you hear? He's also completely corrupt!! I mean, how can you even think he's acceptable??
I look forward to all of the liberal teeth gnashing when this fails also. It’s literally like they are throwing anything and everything at the wall to see what sticks with the public.
And none of it sticks because the president loves America and believes whole heartedly in American exceptionalism and the public loves him for it.
And. Democrats. Do. Not. Understand. This.

OH please. Get off your moral high horse. You and the rest of the Democrats weren't saying the same thing when Bill Clinton was lying under oath and committing all sorts of #metoo infractions.
Moral high horse? Pretty rich coming from the person who cheated on all of his wives, the last with a porn star while his wife was home with a baby; a man who openly admits sexual assault and has told thousands of documented lies.

Guess what happens? NOTHING.
In case you aren't aware, it'll take a 2/3rd super majority in the Senate to actually do anything with an impeachment from the House....which means nothing will happen with the charade the Dems are putting on because they don't even control the Senate. It'll get thrown in the trash in less than 24 hours if it ever gets passed the House. This will be a spectacular backfire by the Dems during election season, because it is going to do nothing except rile up the GOP base and Dems will get 0 results out of it. And guess who'll get the blame when the economy and stock market tank due to political uncertainty? Trump and GOP will easily be able to blame the Democrats during election season for the economy tanking for starting all of the political turmoil that produce no tangible results. This is as big of a mistake for the DNC as sabotaging their own candidate Bernie back in 2016. They're also going to give Trump an order of magnitude more free air time with the press right before 2020. He'll get to campaign for $0 while the Dems will have to raise hundreds of millions with still 20 candidates to whittle down.
Wishing the above were true does not make it so. The "free air time" you're talking about will include hours and hours of Trump's dirty laundry and illegal actions being aired. And voters will take note because even the ones who aren't paying attention are getting tired of the Trump Circus.

I don't think the GOP is smart, though.
If the senators dig in, it will destroy the party.
I still don't understand how intelligent, true conservatives could have stuck by a non-conservative Trump all these months - I have to believe that dirty money was involved.
Yup. And the Democrats will have a comparatively squeaky clean candidate while these hearings drag on for months. Surprising the GOP is still so supportive of Trump.

Please understand that we need to impeach this President FOR THE PRINCIPLE OF IT. Removal from office is separate. We need to get the Senators' votes on record, because some GOP Senators are in peril back home and this might cost them re-election. More importantly, we need this for the history books, as proof that we still have morals and ethics in this country.
We don't care that the base is riled up, because his base is not enough to win him a second term! However, 24/7 news coverage will ensure that those on the fence will vote for someone else, or stay home.
